What is USA FREE? USA FREE is R-CALF USA’s charitable foundation (501(c)(3)). Established “exclusively for the specific purpose of benefiting charitable, educational, and scientific activities of R-CALF USA.” –USA FREE Bylaws Article II, Section 2.1A That means USA FREE is committed to the restoration of a strong, independent producer-based system of agriculture. USA FREE provides research and education for the advancement of cattle production and rural communities. Because R-CALF USA lobbies for the rights of independent U.S. cattle producers, it is unable to accept donations that are tax deductible as charitable contributions. USA FREE was created to accept these charitable donations and use them to advance the interests of U.S. cattle producers. Why donate to USA FREE? All donations to USA FREE are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. All donations to USA FREE can be used to help research current issues and educate both producers and consumers through various outlets including R-CALF USA’s convention and R-CALF USA’s publication, The Cattlemen’s Newsletter. What else can I do to help? In addition to donating yourself, you can help USA FREE by soliciting donations from the businesses you frequent. These businesses are dependent upon your survival for theirs, so ask them to support the organization that’s working to keep both you and them in business, and get a tax deduction! Another great way to support USA FREE is to include it in your estate plan. Ways include Will or Trust Bequests, Investment Gifts, Gift Annuity, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and more.
