Brownfield Ag Network – Thursday – Aug. 19, 2010 (quotes R-CALF USA CEO Bill Bullard) R-CALF anticipates big crowd in Fort Collins By Ken Anderson According R-CALF USA, the USDA and Department of Justice are considering expanding the venue for their upcoming competition workshop in Fort Collins, Colorado. The August 27th workshop will be held in the Main Ballroom of the Lory Student Center on the campus of Colorado State University. R-CALF says it has learned that the event may be expanded to an adjacent room with live video of the proceedings. And the group says if that step is still insufficient to handle the crowd, there is talk of setting up video screens outdoors. R-CALF is encouraging cattlemen who support the proposed changes to the Packer and Stockyards Act to be present for the workshop in Fort Collins. CEO Bill Bullard calls it “rural America’s greatest opportunity to begin reversing the unacceptable decline we’re all experiencing in our communities.” R-CALF has been organizing chartered buses in several states, including South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas. http://brownfieldagnews.com/2010/08/19/r-calf-anticipates-big-crowd-in-fort-collins/ Copyright Learfield Communications© 2009 · All Rights Reserved.
